DESCRIPTION:Come dance with us! Weekly folk dancing on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 pm – 9:15 pm at Charles Rummel Centre in Burnaby. Doors open at 6:45 to set up and get ready for the warm-up dances starting at 7:00 pm and we dance until 9:00 pm. Drop-in is $7.  First time is FREE. No partner or costume required. \nCOVID-19 protocol \nThere are no restrictions starting in September. We do require everyone to follow these guidelines.    \n\nAll participants must sign in.\nVaccination recommended but not required. DESCRIPTION:Summer picnic and dancing with house band The Pirates on Thursday\, August 17th from 11:00ish am – 4:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome to join us at Confederation Park in Burnaby – 250 Willingdon Avenue.  One block north of Hastings.  We meet at the Cenotaph. Bring your picnic lunch\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\, hat\, water\, and chair or blanket. The band will start playing at 12:30 and afterwards there will be recorded music. It’s weather permitting and if need to cancel\, we will announce and if there is alternate date.

DESCRIPTION:Our ninth Lyrids Folk Dance Festival\, includes dances from the Balkans with Steve Kotansky\, and dances from Albania with Genci Kastrati. Saturday evening will have live music with Orkestar RTW and on Friday evening we’ll dance your favourite dances.  \nIf you haven’t registered \, you can still attend the evening parties on Friday and Saturday night and half day sessions and we will take on-site registration. We can no longer accept registration that include meals (unless there is a late cancellation). You will need to show your proof of vaccination and take a rapid test.
